Former Jenny Craig spokeswoman takes on DWTS …
Kirstie Alley is one of our all-time favorite funny women and we couldn’t be more pleased that she has stepped back into the limelight to appear on Season 12 of Dancing with the Stars.
Alley, best known for her role as Rebecca in the iconic 1980’s sitcom Cheers, has had a long and rocky struggle with her weight. She actually has more than one portfolio of Before and After photos to prove that finding just the right balance is sometimes elusive.
She ‘tweeted’ last night: “JUST had a wonderful time at the DWTS party at STK….I love this group…no psychos…….except for me and my partner….xxOOxOxO.”
Who will guide Kirstie in her DWTS journey? None other than Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who excels at brow beating his female dance partners. During Season 11, he caught the judges wrath for his training style that often left Brandy Norwood crying her eyes out. The same thing happened with Erin Andrews during the previous season.
Can Kirstie hold her own against the decidedly strong-willed Maks? We think she has the spunk and the personality to keep him in his place.
The former Jenny Craig spokeswoman found success with the program only to fall off the weight loss wagon and be fired by the franchise.
