Singer Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend Matthew Rutler were arrested at 2:45 a.m. this morning. The singer was booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s substation on a charge of public drunkenness.
Aguilera was the passenger in a vehicle driven by her boyfriend, who was booked for driving under the influence. Christina’s booking sheet indicates she is 5’2″ and weighs 100 pounds. She was arrested, booked, fingerprinted, put in a cell and then monitored until she sobered up sufficiently to be released. She will not be prosecuted.
According to the arresting officer, Xtina’s arrest was due to the fact that she was “extremely intoxicated and unable to take care of herself.” Her BF’s situation is a different matter. Rutler’s bail was set at $30,000.
Friends of the singer are saying that they have been trying to get her into a rehab program for weeks. Suddenly that whole National Anthem fiasco begins to make more sense — as astutely pointed out by one of our readers.
