In a new marketing strategy that has parents seeing red, the Abercrombie Kids spring-summer clothing line features push-up bikini bras for children as young as seven.

The controversial clothier initially described the padded swim garment as having a “push-up triangle” feature. The wrath of angry parents has since flooded the blogosphere with outrage. While AK has toned down their description of the item, it is still very much for sale — much to the dismay of a legion of frenzied consumers.

One blogger wrote: “Shame on you for sexualizing small children. In a world where parents work hard to keep their children safe, you go and make little girls look like they have breasts? Perverts.”

Abercrombie first stirred up controversy among the junior set when they started selling thongs to pint sized customers in 2002. They are not alone. French Vogue recently featured young children in over-the-top haute couture fashions as part of their Toddler Edition several months ago.
