October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and our website participated in the Mom.com ‘Save the Ta-Tas’ event yesterday in Excelsior, MN.
It was a beautiful day on Lake Minnetonka! Mom.com put together a ‘Fish Off’ to benefit breast cancer research through the Save the Ta Tas Foundation.
Entertainment reporter Melinda Jacobs, retired pro soccer player and Executive Director of The Sanneh Foundation Tony Sanneh, Shop NBC host Wendi Russo, and lifestyle columnist Natalie Hagemo were on hand.
Two boats went out carrying Team Excelsior and Team Stillwater. Each team had their very own pro-fisherman, highly skilled anglers Dean Kaminski and Kevin Kervliet.
Team Stillwater ended up catching the most fish, and extended a rematch invite to Team Excelsior, that will take place next year in the beautiful St. Croix Valley.
The fundraiser was a huge success, with the help of Mom.com, who presented a $400 check, and donated an addition $2.00 for each new subscriber they signed up during the event.
On hand at the weigh-in ceremony were Excelsior Mayor Nick Ruehl, Mrs. Minnesota Yasmine Ryback and a couple of the Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders.
