Deryck Whibley and his girlfriend Ari Cooper attended a weekend Halloween party dressed as his ex-wife Avril Lavigne and her Nickelback fiance Chad Kroeger.
In a strange gender reversal, Deryck went as Avril and Ari was rocking Chad. Why the Sum 41 musician opted to be Avril remains a mystery.
Kroeger had some fun with the situation on Twitter:
No word from Lavigne on what she thought of her ex’s costume. Actually they happen to be on pretty good terms since their 2009 split. They’ve even worked together on a couple of projects post-divorce.
Avril and Kroeger hooked up in early 2012 while working on a song for her fifth studio album. They announced their engagement on August 21.
