Lady Gaga has checked into the hospital to undergo hip surgery.
The pop superstar cancelled several shows on her Born This Way Ball tour earlier this month after being diagnosed with synovitis, a severe inflammation of the joints.
Gaga subsequently cancelled the rest of the tour last Wednesday after being told she needed surgery to treat the injured hip, and now she is going under the knife to address the issue.
In a post on Twitter, Gaga wrote,” Going in for surgery now. Thank you so much for sending me love and support. I will be dreaming of you.”
