After eight years of marriage, Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have confirmed through their reps that they are separated and seeking a divorce.
The couple was introduced in 2002 by singer-actress Barbra Streisand, wife of Josh’s actor dad James Brolin. Diane and Josh wed two years later at his California ranch.
Things took a bad turn just before midnight on New Year’s Eve when the actor was arrested for public intoxication in Santa Monica. He appeared a week later without his wife at the premiere of his latest movie ‘Gangster Squad.’
A few days earlier Diane Lane hit the red carpet at the Palm Springs Film Festival as a solo act to present an award to Richard Gere.
The two events raised a red flag that there was trouble in paradise. In fact, the last time the couple appeared together on the red carpet was in mid-December when they attended the premiere of ‘The Guilt Trip,’ starring his stepmother Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen.
Brolin has two children from his previous marriage to Alice Adair, Trevor, 24, and Eden, 18. Lane is the mother of a daughter Eleanor, 19, born during her union to Christopher Lambert.
