A probate court judge has ordered an investigation into the health, education and welfare of Paris Jackson, who attempted to commit suicide last week.
The 15-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson was transferred to UCLA Medical Center for continued care after completing a 72-hour 5150 psychiatric hold at an undisclosed facility.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloof has instructed an investigator to “prepare a written report and include any recommendations relating to the minor child.”
The family’s attorney Perry Sanders Jr. said, “There have been communications between the court and counsel and we’re completely supportive of the court’s actions.”
Last year the judge changed the guardianship arrangement, providing relief to grandmother Katherine Jackson, 83, by appointing the children’s adult cousin TJ Jackson to the role of co-guardian.
Biological mother Debbie Rowe has been involved in private discussions regarding a plan for Paris. She and her daughter recently reconnected — leading to speculation that she may begin playing a more pivotal role in the future.
