Alec Baldwin went ballistic after a reporter from the Daily Mail accused the actor’s wife Hilaria Thomas Baldwin of tweeting while attending the funeral of James Gandolfini.

An article authored by George Stark accused Hilaria of posting “upbeat” comments on Twitter that included talk about wedding anniversary presents and summer smoothies.

The ’30 Rock’ celeb became so unglued while defending his very pregnant spouse that he pulled the plug, once again, on his Twitter account after sufficiently trashing Mr. Stark.

Unfortunately, before Baldwin killed his Twitter page, he launched a few threats, “Someone wrote that my wife was tweeting at a funeral. That’s not true. But I’m gonna tweet at your funeral.”

He added, “I’m gonna find you, George Stark, you toxic little (expletive), and I’m gonna (expletive) you up.”

This morning cooler heads prevailed and the Baldwin camp releasing this damage control statement: “It’s disgraceful that a reporter would manufacture and publish a story and not call for a comment or explanation – especially when it’s intended to take away attention from honoring the memory of a beloved figure like James Gandolfini. There are multiple witnesses to the fact that Hilaria left her phone in the car, and wouldn’t, couldn’t and didn’t tweet during the service.”

Unlike her husband, Hilaria has not quit social media. Last night she staged a bit of a Twitter pity party for herself but after sleeping on it, she tweeted a succinct message this morning, “I would like a real apology.”
