‘Nashville’ actress Hayden Panettiere planted a sisterly kiss on the cheek of her brother Saturday at the 23rd Annual Environmental Media Awards at Warner Bros. Studios.
Nineteen-year-old actor Jansen Panettiere was on hand to see his older sibling receive the Futures Award, which recognizes younger entertainers for their potential to be environmental activists. Also honored at the high profile event was actor Matt Damon, who was described by Jimmy Kimmel as an “insufferable do-gooder.”
An event photographer inadvertently captured a wardrobe malfunction while the Panettiere’s were posing. Is that an underarm rip in Hayden’s lovely Georges Hobeika gown? We’d say that her side seam simply opened up when she raised her arm to embrace her brother.
Hayden is the spokesperson for the marine conservation nonprofit the Whaleman Foundation. During her acceptance speech she explained that she feels an urgency to get the media focused on saving the environment.
She lamented, “The tabloids are more concerned with my personal life and Miley Cyrus’ dancing habits than saving the planet. Twerking is not going to save the environment. I think it speeds it up.”
The actress recently revealed that she is engaged to Ukrainian heavyweight boxing world champion and Olympic gold medalist Wladimir Klitschko.
