After hosting the Biggest Homecoming Party at The Park at Fourteenth nightclub in D.C., Chris Brown and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were arrested for physically assaulting a man in front of the W Hotel.

The rapper, 24, already on probation for assaulting Rihanna in 2009, will remain behind bars until his Monday court appearance before a magistrate regarding the felony assault charge. His high profile L.A. attorney Mark Geragos is expected to make the trip to the nation’s capital in order to represent his client.

Washington D.C. police were called to the scene at 4:30 a.m., where an injured man claimed that Brown uttered a gay slur and then punched him in the face. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a broken nose.

His on-again off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran said on social media, “I hate waking up to bad news.”

An hour late, after being bombarded with pointed comments on Twitter, she added, “What is wrong with some of y’all? Did y’all parents not love y’all enough? Y’all gotta quit w this negative s*** 24 f****** 7.”

Brown completed a yearlong domestic violence course in 2010 and posted on Twitter, “I have enough self respect and decency to be proud of accomplishing this DV class. Boyz run from their mistakes. Men learn from them!”

His next gig is slated for October 31. He shared a promo pic and tweeted, “Halloween party of the year! Come turn up w me inside Congo room LA LIVE 10.31.2013 S/O to the #SUPREMETEAM”
