Lea Michele and Naya Rivera filmed a special Christmas episode of ‘Glee’ in Burbank as Santa’s Little Elves.
Fellow cast member Chris Colfer also took part in the taping that will air in December.
While it remained unclear whether there would be a holiday show this year, ‘Glee’ makeup artist Kelley Mitchell gave a hint when she tweeted, “Ah, the age old television tradition of filming the Christmas episode while half the crew is dressed up in Halloween gear. #glee #confusing.”
Season five began filming in early August with the new season premiere on September 26, 2013. Episode 3 titled ‘The Quarterback’ dealt with the death of character Finn Hudson — a dramatic storyline change following the tragic death of ‘Glee’ actor Cory Monteith.
The show has already been guaranteed a sixth season with the final episode of the long running series slated for 2015.
Recent rumors suggested that Lea Michele will star in a ‘Glee’ spin-off. A Fox rep was quick to dismiss the story after it gained legs on Monday.
The 27-year-old has been active in the business since 1995 when she made her Broadway debut as a replacement in the role of Young Cosette in ‘Les Miserables.’
