On the evening before turning 21, Miley Cyrus telephoned the North Hollywood division of the LAPD to report that her Studio City home in Los Angeles had been burglarized Friday afternoon.
While the residence was unoccupied, unknown perpetrators made off with stolen goods including many personal items. A police report was filed and an official investigation is underway.
Us Weekly reports, “She’s extremely upset and a lot of personal items were stolen. She’s really shaken up about the whole thing.”
The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer turned 21 on Saturday but will wait until Sunday night to host a birthday party at the theater of Beacher’s Madhouse in Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel following her evening performance at the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theater.
She posted a photo on Twitter over the weekend, seen above, featuring a return to her dark eyebrows after rocking a bleached look for an L.A. party several days ago – pics here.
Ryan Seacrest joked on Twitter, “Thank gosh @MileyCyrus is turning 21 so she can finally let loose a bit.”
Sister Noah Cyrus tweeted, “Happy birthday to my beautiful sister @MileyCyrus I love you so much. Xx.”
Miley’s parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish, gave their daughter a $30,000 2014 Can Am Spyder 3-wheel motorcycle for her milestone birthday. See photos here.
