Note to MTV: you may want to air the 2015 MTV on even more than a seven-second delay.

The network announced yesterday that raunchy (and hilarious!) comedian Amy Schumer will host this year’s version of the annual event, with the Emmy Award nominee responding to the news by making a reference to Kim Kardashian nude.

“I am honored to be hosting the awards,” said Schumer. “I will carry the audience with me like a teen mom. #breaktheinternet #breakmywater”

The film-based festivities will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles April 12, 2015.

“Wickedly funny and sharply insightful, Amy Schumer is perhaps the most ascendant talent in comedy today and she’s on the brink of an epic year,” said Stephen Friedman, president of MTV.

“We are thrilled to work with Amy to create an unpredictable and hilarious showcase for Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters and brightest stars in what promises to be the most combustible Movie Awards ever.”

Schumer – who took over MTV’s social media platforms for an hour last night – finished fourth on Last Comic Standing in 2007.

She stars on Inside Amy Schumer and will be producing a new Comedy Central pilot starring Rachel Feinstein that will “explore and skewer gender, class, and stereotypical issues in sketch and character-driven pieces.”

Are you excited for her to host the 2015 MTV Movie Awards?
