On Monday’s NCIS: Los Angeles Season 6 Episode 10, the L.A. team investigated the murder of U.S. Marines whose sons were attending military academies.
Picking up after a two-week hiatus, NCIS: Los Angeles Season 6 Episode 10 began with an unidentified man approaching an unmarked house.
As he gets too close to the premises, an alarm is somehow triggered, blowing up the house and knocking him backward, seemingly with his legs on fire.
The team discovers he was not a thief, but paparazzi, while the home belongs to Borders, a legend in the CIA. Something here does not add up.
If you watch NCIS: Los Angeles online, you know that’s usually the case at the onset, and that the team splits up to figure it out, as they did here.
The bomb was most likely an IED, while Deeks and Kensi interview Kip Brigham, an NBA player who was a known critic of the offending photographer.
Kip tells Deeks, his old friend apparently, that he is innocent and rather offended that he’s even being questioned about the events over at Borders’ house.
Callen and Hanna learn that the paparazzo, Jack Chapman, was actually not gunning for Borders herself, but for Gunnery Sergeant Mike Johnson.
Mike grew up with Chapman, and was checking on the house for him as a favor. His death was unrelated. The investigation turns to Mike’s son.
Hanna and Callen realize they might be dealing with a serial killer bent on trying to "protect" boys such as Johnson’s son from overbearing fathers.
Every accident appears perfectly aligned with some aspect of the victims’ daily routine, and they devise a plan to put the word out that Johnson is alive.
That way, the killer might reveal himself and take another shot. During the sting, they are tricked by a false flag, but Callen saves Johnson’s life. Barely.
Richard Mills claims he killed all "evil" men, but his mind is too far gone to give the team the whole story, so they bring in Richard’s mother for more intel.
Her second husband harmed Richard and his older brother David.
Callen and Hanna track David down and take him alive after a shootout, convincing him to give up the next target, and Sam saves the day at the 11th hour.
