Moments after giving an Earth Day-inspired speech at USC last week, The Vampire Diaries star was greeted by a student at the university… who felt the need to break into song upon shaking Somerhalder’s hand.
Why? Why not, right?!?
In the following video, we see (and hear) the unnamed young woman serenade Somerhalder with a verse from "Natural Woman," leaving Ian with no choice but to join in, give the student a peck on the hand and ask:
Is that all you wanted to say? Yes, it really was.
Would this be our first move if we ever met Ian Somerhalder?
No. But considering the level of handsomeness we’re dealing with here, we understand that some women can’t exactly hold a normal conversation with the star.
