Meghan Edmonds and Jim Edmonds will NOT be going to court in order to fight it out over the future of their children.
But the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member may be heading to a bar in the near future.
Because she needs a drink.
Because she’s not happy with what has developed here.
An insider close to the estranted couple has revealed to In Touch Weekly that the parents, — who share a trio of young children — settled on 50/50 joint custody of their kids late last week.
The deal was worked out between the tandem’s attorneys and neither Jim nor Meghan has said anything in public in the days since they reached this agreement.
Multiple sources indicate, however, that Meghan is pretty upset over what has transpired… despite signing her name on the necessary dotted line.
"Meghan didn’t want Jim to get equal/joint custody, but that’s exactly what happened,” this insider told In Touch, adding:
“She expected him to get less because she’s been saying he can’t handle it, but he’s doing just fine.”
According to this same mole, the parents “have not been in front of a judge yet, but [lawyers] agreed upon a ‘parenting plan’ that accounts for at least some of the upcoming holidays.
"She has them this Thanksgiving, and he gets them next year."
Based on this Instagram Story post, though, it looks like it wasn’t an idea holiday for Meghan and her offspring:
Meghan and Jim got married in October of 2014.
They are parents of daughter Aspen, 3, and twin boys Hart and Hayes, 17 months — and they have been through a ton over the second half of 2019.
This summer, for example, Edmonds confessed to (at a minimum) sexting with a former mistress, someone who has accused Jim of sending her a video of him masturbating on the day his wife gave birth to their twins.
We’re not making that up.
Several weeks later, Jim and Meghan got into a huge fight over allegations that the former was sleeping with the family’s nanny.
A day after this fight, Jim filed for divorce.
He and Meghan then exchanged insults and cheap shots over social media, only for Meghan to eventually state that, no, she does not think Jim and the nanny ever had sex.
But she does maintain that they have an inappropriate relationship.
"To be clear, I don’t know if Jim slept with our babysitter or whether they were just being exceedingly inappropriate by hanging out socially without either of them telling me (and Jim expressly lying to me about it)," Meghan has said, adding in a statement:
"I’ve gone back and forth with my thoughts for a couple days but as I write this, I don’t think he did.
"But I still don’t understand why he’d lie. And why would she lie?"
Just two weeks later, the police were called to Jim and Meghan’s home after she returned home from a night out with friends.
After an officer questioned the reality TV personality’s ability to care for their three kids, the officer concluded she was just fine.
”I did not call the police on my wife,” Jim told Us Weekly at the time. “I called the police to protect the situation and make sure there were no further issues."
In other words: Jim called the police on his wife.
Two days after the incident, Jim officially moved out of his family’s St. Louis home.
