Phoebe Waller-Bridge may portray a character on Fleabag who has some trouble finding love.
But one thing is now for certain:
She has no trouble at all finding love from The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Indeed, the 2019 Emmy Awards aired live from Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The ceremony did not have a host, yet it had a very clear winner overall, as Waller-Bridge made numerous treks back and forth to the stage in honor of Fleabag Season 2, one of the greatest collection of episodes in TV history.
Elsewhere, we had an openly-gay African-American star win Best Actor in a Drama for the first time ever.
