It's been three days since we learned that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are getting divorced, and the jury is still out with regard to what caused the split.
Both parties have been accused of infidelity, but since Blake was the one to file for divorce, many fans believe that Miranda was caught in the act.
Now, a series of reports claim that Miranda actually confessed that she had been unfaithful to Blake in hopes that he would forgive her "long time affair." Obviously, that didn't turn out to be the case.
TMZ is reporting that Lambert felt "like an abandoned wife" as a result of Shelton spending 7-8 months of the year in LA for The Voice. (Miranda reportedly hates SoCal and refused to relocate there.)
Lambert allegedly engaged in an affair out of desperation and then tearfully confessed to Blake. Sources say Shelton responded by immediately filing for divorce.
Those same insiders say there is no truth to the rumors about Miranda cheating with Chris Young.
Young addressed the issue himself on his social media accounts yesterday:
“I don’t normally address gossip but in this case I will,” the 30-year-old singer wrote.
“My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda’s divorce. That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship.”
Whatever the cause, both parties seem to be having no trouble moving on post-divorce.
Shelton is already back to work on The Voice, and Lambert performed at an album release party in Nashville last night.
