After a night in which the The Voice top 12 performed a series of strong covers Monday, it was very tough to handicap who would be cut loose on Tuesday.

Still, we did not see this coming. What surprises did America have in store?

The Voice results show featured no coaches’ input for the first time in Season 8, so it was all up to the viewers, and they delivered a doozy last night.

Who’s in and who’s out? Let’s get into it, with the good news, and bad …

Mia Z, Team Pharrell’s 15-year-old blues chanteuse with the mesmerizing falsetto and soulful, fiery performances, is OUT in a stunning turn of events.

Her rendition of “Miss You” Monday had been a highlight, too. No one could’ve predicted that it would fail to connect with fans as well as 10 out of 11 others.

Team Adam’s Johnsons, Deanna and Brian (no relation) were also in the bottom three, which was less of a surprise. But Mia felt like a threat to WIN.

Fighting for the Instant Save, Mia’s take on “Stormy Monday” wasn’t perfect, but it was a charismatic and frankly killer cover as she sang for her life.

Brian Johnson was sang the Lonestar “Amazed,” while Deanna took on Bruno Mars’ “It Will Rain.” Both were adequate, but Deanna a bit more impressive.

In turn, she got the save. Deanna Johnson goes on. Brian is headed home.

And there you have it, folks. What "frontrunner" is in jeopardy next? Rob Taylor, India Carney or Kimberly Nichole? Meghan Linsey or Sawyer Fredericks?

You just can’t predict when it comes to The Voice results. You just can’t.

What did you think of America’s picks for the Top nine and then the Instant Save to make it an even 10? Did the fans get it right? Did Mia Z get robbed?!
