Jessica Simpson Sells Part of Her Fashion Brand: Here's to the Next BILLION!

by at .

When she's not posting Fifty Shades-inspired instagram selfies or cute pics of her kids, Jessica Simpson is a business woman and a good one at that!

Simpson's brand has raked in a mammoth $1 billion dollars in sales every year, since 2005! Now there's a reason to get drunk on the red carpet!

It comes as no surprise that another company would want to get into business with the star and the lucky company is Sequential Brands Group, Inc, who purchased a 50 percent stake in the company.

Jessica Simpson: Hot on the Red Carpet

"I am extremely honored to partner with Sequential Brands Group to continue the growth and integrity of the Jessica Simpson Collection," she said in a statement. "Working together with the powerful management team at Sequential and with all of our trusted retailers and licensees, including Camuto Group, there is no limit to our success."

Simpson promises that she will still be a huge part of the company and that she is well prepared to rake in even more money.

"I'm as committed as I was ten years ago. Here's to the next billion," she said.

We love to hear about a good business decision and this is most certainly one of them. Congratulations Jessica. Will this give you some more time to get to work on some more racy selfies? We sure hope so!

What do you think of this? Will the brand continue to excel?

Jessica Simpson Quotes

They're just the cutest couple in the world. They are adorable. Anybody would wish to be them and you can only wish them well. Just being around them inspires love and everything I sing about.

It’s fun to do a small film that might be released to DVD not because it’s a horrible film, but because it’s an independent film. For people to say Employee of the Month was a flop is ludicrous. We made the money back–that’s not a flop. For people to say The Dukes of Hazzard was a flop–it opened to $30 million! If these movies are flops, why would I still make them?
