Immediately following the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, Kanye West BLASTED those who vote on these trophies, saying they do not respect true artists and that Beyonce should have won Album of the Year over Beck.
In response, Beck said it’s all good. He still loves Kanye. He thinks the star is a "genius."
But Shirley Manson is clearly less forgiving.
"Dear Kanye West," the Garbage singer opened a blog entry on last night. "It is YOU who is so busy disrespecting artistry. You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work, and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like BECK."
Proving she is unafraid of Kanye fans or Kim Kardashian supporters, Manson did not stop there.
"You make yourself look small and petty and spoilt," she told Kanye. "In attempting to reduce the importance of one great talent over another, you make a mockery of all musicians and music from every genre, including your own.
"Grow up and stop throwing your toys around. You are making yourself look like a complete tw-t."
West actually approached Beck on stage at the Grammys, acting as if he was gonna cut him off the same way he cut Taylor Swift off at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
But he instead returned to his seat without uttering a word and people assumed he was just making a joke.
However, he then turned very serious in a post-show interview, addressing Grammy voters and saying "when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you’re disrespectful to inspiration."
Concluded Manson’s Facebook diatribe against the rapper:
"I am pretty certain Beyonce doesn’t need you fighting any battles on her account. Seems like she’s got everything covered perfectly well on her own."
