The 2015 Grammy Awards included plenty for the Internet to buzz over today.
There was Kanye West ranting over Beck’s big win. There was Katy Perry dedicatinng her performance to victims of domestic violence, with special guest Brooke Axtell introducing the superstar.
And there was Kristen Wiig dancing with Sia to "Chandelier."
But one thing was noticeable missing: a nomination for Demi Lovato.
In a series of Tweets over the weekend, the young artist said she’s back in the studio, ready to lay down songs for a new album… and more inspired than ever before.
“I’ve never been more confident in my sound. Never been so sure of who I am as an artist,” she wrote. “Never felt this hungry and driven."
Very satisfied in her personal life, Lovato is now focused on achieving new professional ones.
“What I can say is this will be my best work yet… Already game changing music and I’ve barely scratched the surface on creating this album,” Tweeted Lovato. "I am going to sing my heart out more than I’ve ever sang before.. To the sound that I’ve spent my whole life trying to identify.. I’m ready."
And Demi wasn’t finished!
"F-ck trying to make music that will appeal to the masses for the sake of hit songs. It’s time to share my lane… MY SOUND. Because no one can take away my individuality or copy my best work which my fans deserve to see."
Psyched to begin a "new journey" and a "new chapter," Lovato concluded by making the following vow:
"I WILL get a Grammy nomination one day. No more f*ckin around. Let’s GO!!!!!"
