Teresa Giudice was forced to spread rumors about Teresa and Rino Aprea by the producers of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, a new report suggests.
The allegations and accusations surrounding Napolitano and her twin sister, Aprea, are becoming a big time storyline this season, or so Bravo is hoping.
According to a source, show executives pressured Giudice to spread the rumor that Aprea’s husband Rino cheated on her with her mother, Santa.
Victoria Gotti first floated the rumor, but the cast members agreed to keep things under wraps … until Giudice blabbed and the twins are reportedly livid.
On The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 Episode 9, Giudice confessed to Dina Manzo that she had heard a rumor about Rino nailing Santa.
But now, Giudice says, that entire scene was staged by producers to make her look bad for pulling out of going on the housewives’ cast trip to Miami.
“Teresa didn’t want or need in any drama in her life at that time,” the source dished.
“It was around the time she pleaded guilty in the bankruptcy and fraud case. Producers told her to tell Dina the rumor that Rino Aprea had slept with his mother-in-law.”
“It was done to make sure that Teresa looked like the villain for spreading malicious gossip, and she wasn’t in Miami to defend herself,” the source said.
It’s not just Giudice who’s mad at producers for their handling of this drama, either.
The source claimed that Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano “are beyond disgusted that a private family issue has become such a very public matter.”
“They had no idea for the majority of the filming, the entire cast would be talking about their mother having sex with Rino! There was no reason this ever should have been [on TV].”
“They are livid that their family looks like some backwards hillbilly mess.”
As for whether it’s even true? It is, says a Radar source: “It happened a long time ago, but Rino and Santa did have sex. And it happened more than once.”
