Popular opinion continues to be that the made-for-TV couple wanted to maximize public interest by tying the knot while Courtney was very young and had only just met Doug.
It’s perhaps not surprising that Courtney seems to have no regrets about her marriage. After all, without it, no one know the name of the "aspiring singer."
While they failed in their bid to produce a reality show of their own, Courtney and Doug did land single-season roles on on VH1’s Couples Therapy and Courtney Stodden’s Instagram continues to be a popular page on the photo-sharing site for reasons that likely have much to do with her frequent and revealing selfies.
