If Cory Monteith was looking for something furthest away from his character Finn in Glee, he found it in McCanick.
In one of Monteith’s final roles before his death, he plays Simon Weeks, a young man recently released from prison who is being hunted down by a cop, played by David Morse, due to a secret he holds.

The film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. No U.S. release date has been announced.
