Oh, NCAA Football, why do I continue to get drawn in to your web?

Every year I tell myself, I will not buy this game again and yet every year, here I am – day of launch and my fingers itching to play.

One of the biggest selling points of NCAA Football 14 is better control over the option. Georgia Tech and Navy fans rejoice! The rest of us? Meh.

So why do I do this each year? It’s not like the franchise makes huge advancements in graphics each year, especially now at the end of life of a this generation of consoles. It’s certainly not because the teams are different. There’s no storylines so it’s certainly not that.

“Real life physics” are interesting but I’ve played the new FIFA and it’s at times disturbing to see how real life physics translate to a playing field. Limbs are flying, eyeballs popping out… it’s not pretty.

Is it the Oregon uniforms? They change each year so we need to buy a new game every summer?

Tell me – why do you buy the new NCAA Football each year?

You’ll have to forgive me if I don’t respond right away, I’ll be busy leading the Crimson Tide to another virtual championship.
