Iron Man 3 is an unstoppable force.
Despite the second big Summer Movie of the year premiering on Friday, Iron Man 3 stayed in first place in the weekend box office, earning $72.47 million for a two-week total of $284.9.
The Great Gatsby, whose release date was moved from Christmas to May in order to capitalize on the Summer movie season, had a sub-par opening in Iron Man‘s shadow.
The film took in $51.1 million in its first weekend.
