Two different award shows took place on Sunday night, with the Critics Choice TV Awards airing in Los Angeles and the Peabody Awards taking over Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
Both ceremonies honored those in the entertainment business… and both featured an unexpected makeout session!
Out in California, Allison Janey kissed James Corden after being called to the stage; while, in The Big Apple, Amy Schumer and Tina Fey presented attendees with a big surprise.
Fey first praised Amy Schumer for her provocative, hilarious, feminist-centric series Inside Amy Schumer, on which she guest-starred for a sketch a few weeks ago.
She then joked:
"I really wanted to come down here tonight, and in a Madonna kind of way try to like feed off of her youth and maybe suck her soul out in a very awkward, staged lesbian kiss.
But when I pitched that idea to Amy’s camp, they came back with such an immediate yes that it kind of grossed me out."
