The Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev was one of the most buzz-worthy stars at the buzz-worthy Teen Choice Awards ... and it's easy to see why.

Fresh off of her split with co-star Ian Somerhalder, the 24-year-old beauty is starting to get noticed for her red-carpet attire as well as her CW role.

Dobrev was honored for her work on The Vampire Diaries (Choice Female Scene Stealer), but she was also a big Teen Choice Awards fashion winner.

The star arrived in a colorful, splashy jumpsuit with a plunging neckline that made it hard to stay focused on her face ... and she has a very pretty face.

It was a great summer look for Nina, who seems to be showing Ian what he's missing every time she goes out in public, whether that's her goal or not.

What do you think of her Teen Choice outfit?

Miley Cyrus poses for the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar, looking classy and elegant and fully clothed.

She then showed up last night at the Teen Choice Awards... not exactly looking classy or elegant or clothed.

Cyrus posed on the red blue carpet in a risqué, dominatrax-like outfit that included a lot of black and a great deal of leather, along with a sheer fishnet shirt over a leather bra.

Check out the look now and compare it to other Teen Choice Awards fashion from the event.

As well as those in attendance and watching at home.

What would the Teen Choice Awards be without a performance by the globe's most popular teen band?

Fortunately, fans didn't have to answer that question last night, as One Direction took to the stage for a rendition of "Best Song Ever."

Moreover, group member Harry Styles took the bait from co-host Darren Criss and popped out of his chair early on in the evening to do his best impression of Miley Cyrus. Oh, yes, people: He Twerked!

It was brief, but it was sexy - and we've posted videos here of both Styles gyrating and Styles singing with his attractive friends. Enjoy!

Demi Lovato pretty much wore a mullet on stage at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.

And yet even this unusual hairstyle selection was overshadowed by the individual with whom Lovato performed at the ceremony: Nick Jonas!

Yes, the 20-year old heartthrob joined Lovato on stage for a rendition of "Made in the USA," bringing the crowd to its shocked feet when he took a seat behind the drums.

Watch now for what may have been the most exciting moment at the event - and then relive the most emotional with Lea Michele's acceptance speech:
