A judge has revoked probation and issued an arrest warrant for actor Daniel Baldwin after he failed to appear in court for a scheduled progress report on his ongoing rehabilitation, stemming from a drug arrest occurring last year.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Millington issued the warrant after the actor failed to show up in court as scheduled this past Friday morning.

The actor, 47, is the brother of actors Alec Baldwin (star of 30 Rock), William Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin and has starred on numerous TV shows, including "Homicide: Life on the Street," and was also in some movies and stuff.

A scruffy Daniel Baldwin ran afoul of the law in April 2006 when he was arrested in a Los Angeles-area motel for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

As celebrities go, he's D-list at best. But as celebrity mug shots go, this one is a definite B, maybe even a B+ (you can see a little bit of Nick Nolte here).

Daniel Baldwin entered the drug rehabilitation program in hopes of having the pair of charges dismissed. At a February hearing, his attorney said the actor had completed various programs and was continuing treatment.

He and Britney Spears bonded in rehab in February. We're serious.

Britney Spears seems "a little fearful" but is "doing the do."

That's according to her rehab compatriot, Daniel Baldwin.

One of the lesser-known Baldwin brothers, Daniel says he's now been sober for 97 days and recently ran into the train wreck pop princess in Malibu.

"I told her if she needed anything or if she wanted me to bring anything to her where she's at, I'd be happy to come see her," Baldwin told Us Weekly after meeting the troubled singer in the midst of an epic downward spiral.

"She's doing great; she looks great," added Baldwin, saying he gave Britney Spears his number after running into her two days ago in Malibu.

"She seemed like she was a little fearful," he continued. "I mean, she's a young girl - I have kids older than her. I think that she knows that she needs some help, and God bless her. All we can do is pray. That's what I want people to do: Pray for her."

Baldwin, who was arrested in April on charges of being under the influence and carrying cocaine paraphernalia, said he left Britney - who's back in rehab for a third try at getting clean - with some simple advice:

"Don't drink. Don't use."

Good news, Brit - there's nothing in that mantra about not marrying losers. Then again, Kevin Federline is looking like a steady influence these days.

"It's really simple," said the brother of Stephen Baldwin. "One thing I mentioned to her is if you took a look at how much effort you put into going out - at least for me - going out and using and doing the things we do, compared to how much effort you need to do to stay sober, it's infinitesimal on a comparison basis."

We hope Britney Spears understands what that means.

Law enforcement sources arrested Daniel Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif., after he allegedly stole a car. The owner of the vehicle called OnStar, reporting it car stolen, and a rep from OnStar in turn called the Santa Monica P.D. to report the theft.

Cops found the car at a local motel and saw Baldwin getting inside the vehicle.

A disheveled Baldwin was taken into custody for grand theft auto. Officers conducted a search of the motel room where Baldwin was staying and found narcotics and paraphernalia. He was booked on charges of possessing illegal drugs before being sprung on $20,000 bail. Pete Doherty smiled from afar.

Man, looks like Tom Cruise isn't the only guy Stephen Baldwin needs to save. This is the second time Baldwin has been busted in Santa Monica for drugs. Last April, he was arrested at another Santa Monica hotel after a woman called the cops claiming she had been threatened there. Cops claim when they arrived, they found cocaine on Baldwin.
