Lena Dunham is featured in the new issue of Vogue and, for a change, the actress is wearing clothes.
Dunham recently got into it with a television critic who questioned her constant nudity on Girls during a recent panel discussion, telling the reporter that it's "your problem" if you dislike her bare body.
The cover shot of Dunham was taken by famous photographer Annie Leibovitz and features the 27-year old star in a polka dot dress, a confused look on her face:
Inside the February edition of the renowned publication, meanwhile, Dunham straddles the shoulders of co-star Adam Driver:
She also addresses the topic of sex on her series and why it may make some viewers uncomfortable.
"Critics said, ‘That guy wouldn’t date that girl!’ It’s like, ‘Have you been out on the street lately?’ Everyone dates everyone, for lots of reasons we can’t understand," Dunham says, adding:
"Sexuality isn’t a perfect puzzle, like, ‘He has a nice nose and she has a nice nose! She’s got great breasts and he’s got great calves! And so they’re going to live happily ever after in a house that was purchased with their modeling money!’
"It’s a complicated thing. I want people ultimately, even if they’re disturbed by certain moments, to feel bolstered and normalized by the sex that’s on the show.”
An interesting take. Where do you stand on it? Watch Girls online now and sound off!
