Shakira Gives Birth to a Baby Boy... or Not

Congratulations are in order for Shakira and her boyfriend Gerard Pique:

The Colombian singer has given birth to a baby boy! 

Pique tweeted the birth announcement Thursday night in Spanish. Translated, it said, "Our son has been born! We are very happy! Thanks to all for your messages."

Shakira will serve as a mentor on The Voice this spring and Pique is a soccer player for FC Barcelona. This is the first child for the both parents. Here's wishing them the best!

UPDATE: Wow, Pique totally got us. Soon after his initial Tweet, the NON-baby daddy wrote something that translates to:

“It has a name! His name is Innocent! Happy Day of the Innocents to all!”

Day of the Innocents is Spain's equivalent of April Fool's Day.
