Tagg Romney Apologizes to President Obama For "Swing" Remark
by Free Britney at .Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's son Tagg has apologized to President Barack Obama personally for saying that he wanted to take a swing at him.
Tagg Romney made the remark after the second presidential debate.
Asked in a radio interview how he reacts to Obama accusing his father of lying, he said, "You want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him."
He wasn't seriously thinking of doing so, but caught flak just the same.
At the third presidential debate Monday, Tagg apologized to Obama.
The eldest of Romney's five sons walked up on stage with other family members after the debate, where cameras showed him shaking hands and speaking with Obama.
A Romney campaign official confirmed Tuesday that Tagg apologized. The official was not authorized to discuss personal matters and thus demanded anonymity.
