Wow. Incredibly, Joe Wilson's outcry of "You lie!" in the direction of Barack Obama was not the most inappropriate example of public humilation this week.
At the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift defeated Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, and Beyonce to take home the trophy for Best Female Video.
As a visibly humble, appreciative Swift took the stage and began her acceptance speech, Kanye West actually grabbed the microphone from her and declared that Beyonce - with "one of the greatest videos of all-time" - deserved to win.
The camera cut to Beyonce in the audience. She was horrified. Kanye (who drank Hennessy on the red carpet) ran away from the stage like a pathetic little bitch; and Taylor was left alone, embarrassed and speechless.
To the crowd's credit, they stood and applauded Swift, but the damage had been done. Watch the stunning video below and then send in encouragement to Taylor. We love you, girl!
Was this some sort of stunt? Something Swift may have known about ahead of time, similar to the Bruno/Eminem charade at the MTV Movie Awards? It doesn't appear that way.

Celebrities or not--- this grown man just took the micorphone away from a young girl who was probably scared to death and humiliated her in front of thousands of people---how pathetic is that???? Who could respect that???? Poor kid---I hope he sees he just boosted her publicity enormously--maybe she'll beat him out of an award next year!

Taylor - saw you in Nashville on Saturday night and couldn't wait to see you on VMA awards tonight. You deserved the award and you deserve to be treated like the lady you are. I so sorry you had to be the victim of that bully tonight. He doesn't even deserve to have his name mentioned. I too have to say that this was extremely racist of him. He saw a white girl who sings country music winning the award and his racist thoughts come into his mind. Just imagine what he was truly thinking and what racist insults he wanted to say to Taylor Swift.

Im not on the side of Taylor Swift, because I dont like her, their songs seem to me dull and nothing to say, She is (for me) another singer. I expected to win someone over, Pink or Beyonce
But the action of Kenya was completely wrong, he must do so elsewhere. Swift is still too young to come back and leave,
she was ridiculed only because of Kenya, it was wrong for a "mature" man like him, let a brat like that

The man is str8 up nutz! He should not be ALLOWED into ANY award show from now until HELL FREEZES OVER! Beyonce clearly was bewildered. Kudos to her for allowing Taylor to come on stage w/her. THEY EITHER NEED TO INCREASE OR DECREASE HIS MEDICATION CUZ HE OUT THERE BAD!!!! Way to go Taylor, you deserve your award. All the best!
