PBS journalist Gwen Ifill has passed away at the age of 61.
The NewsHour and Washington Week mainstay, who had been with PBS since 1999, had been battling cancer, according to the network.
She had held reporting positions at acclaimed newspapers and TV stations and famously moderated a pair of vice presidential debates.
