Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock have announced that they are expecting their first child together!
The former ‘Idol’ winner hit Twitter and Facebook yesterday to reveal, “I’m pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever.”
Last week Clarkson told Jay Leno that they really wanted a child, “We are not announcing anything right now! … Practice makes perfect! We’re trying, trying, trying … like rabbits!”
Brandon and Kelly, 31, got married on October 20 at Blackberry Farms in Walland, Tennessee. His two children from a previous marriage, Seth, 6, and Savannah, 12, witnessed the covered bridge nuptials.
According to Brandon, “My kids love her. I couldn’t ask for a better stepmother for my children.”
Clarkson last hit the red carpet in a gorgeous red dress on November 7. She appeared on stage to present an award at the 47th CMAs.
Her dress color was no doubt a nod to Kelly’s recently released Christmas album Wrapped In Red. The 14 tracks include classics ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ and ‘Underneath the Tree.’
She also added a special tune for her new husband ‘Winter Dreams (Brandon’s Song).’
