British heiress Petra Ecclestone married businessman James Stunt in Rome on Saturday. She is the daughter of Formula One CEO Bernie Ecclestone.
The Ecclestone family ranks 254 on Forbes Billionaire list with a net worth of $4.2 billion. Petra most certainly qualifies as one of the world’s richest women.
The 22-year-old bride, wearing a Vera Wang gown, arrived in a white Rolls Royce at Odescalchi Castle in Lake Bracciano, Italy, where Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes got married in 2006.
Entertaining the 350 invited guests were Andrea Bocelli, Eric Clapton and the Black Eyed Peas.
An honored guest was the bride’s mother, former Armani model Slavica Radic. Serving as maid of honor was Petra’s sister Tamara Ecclestone.
Also on hand were Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their mother Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Kathy Hilton and her daughters Paris and Nicky, and soon to be Dancing with the Stars celeb David Arquette.
Acrobats performed beneath hot-air balloons amid the first of the evening’s two fireworks displays. The second major display came at midnight.
The bride made headlines several months ago when she purchased the magnificent Holmby Hills estate of the late Aaron Spelling for $85 million – photos here.
