Oprah has graced the cover of pretty much every edition of O magazine, so it must be a special occasion when she’s joined by someone else!
The October issue features Lady O along with Rosie O’Donnell. The comedian and talk show veteran has found a new home at Harpo studios, where her new show will air on OWN starting next month.
Oprah knows that Rosie is a force and even admits she’s one of the only people to give her a run for her money, “In 25 years of doing my show only one competitor ever seriously challenged me in the ratings: Rosie O’Donnell. From the day Rosie took her place among the crowded field of talk show hosts, I knew she had the ‘It’ thing.”
Rosie knows that she has some big shoes to fill and considers this opportunity a new beginning, “For the first time in a long time, I’m excited.”
In the O magazine article she opens up about family, her divorce and her sexuality. The October issue hits newsstands September 13.
The Rosie Show, on OWN, will take the 7-8 p.m. time slot beginning October 10. That show will be followed nightly by OWN Your Life, an Oprah led online class, with homework, set to air from 8-9 p.m.
