Last month the popular clothing company Abercrombie & Fitch offered to pay Jersey Shore star “The Situation” NOT to wear their clothing. The reality star claims to have never received such an offer.
Oddly enough A&F has distributed t-shirts in the past that were clearly marketed for Jersey Shore lovers. One shirt reads “G.T.L. (YOU KNOW THE DEAL)” and another “The Fitchuation.”
For the unaware, G.T.L. is a Jersey Shore catch phrase for Gym, Tan and Laundry.
The legal team for Sitch has fired off a Cease and Desist letter to the clothier. The letter demands that all Jersey Shore inspired shirts be removed from store shelves immediately.
According to the legal documents, The Situation’s company MPS Entertainment owns the trademarks in question, and in addition to the cease and desist demand, they are laying claim to all proceeds from shirts already sold.
Abercrombie & Fitch has until Tuesday to respond to the demands or further action will be taken.
