Breaking their silence in an exclusive interview with Dr. Phil McGraw, the parents of Casey Anthony are speaking out for the first time since their daughter was acquitted of murder.
The two-part paid interview will air Tuesday and Wednesday on The Dr. Phil Show. An unspecified payment went to Caylee’s Fund at the request of Cindy Anthony and her husband George Anthony.
The couple unveiled the foundation on August 6, the date their deceased granddaughter would have celebrated her sixth birthday. The objectives will focus on three issues: grandparents rights, help for missing and exploited children, and backing the proposed Caylee’s Law.
Dr. Phil appeared this morning on the Today Show to hype the upcoming episodes. The outspoken television host doesn’t go easy on the couple, but instead confronts them with some hard hitting questions about their behavior during the police investigation.
Casey Anthony is currently serving a year of probation in Florida. According to her parents, they have not seen her since the trial.
