Sadie Robertson is in New York this week to promote...ducks? Dynasties? We're not really sure, but the young reality star took the opportunity to open up about the latest Josh Duggar scandal.
The Robertsons and the Duggars have been compared in the past, and Sadie kept the analogy going when talking to People magazine, likening Josh's sexual misconduct to Phil Robertson's anti-gay comments.
"We've been there. It was hard," Sadie said. "It's been kind of a secret for a long time, and everybody knows when secret's come out, it's not fun...You shouldn't keep secrets.
"It is what it is and so they're just gonna have to make the best out of it. I think he's making a turnaround. If they can forgive him, it'll all work out."
Asked if she thought it was a good idea for TLC to cancel 19 Kids and Counting, Sadie attempted to give a a diplomatic response, but sounded as though she might be in over her head:
"They almost canceled Duck Dynasty whenever my grandpa said the things that he said, that would've been, in my opinion, not a very good decision, because that was been putting one man's words in all of our mouths.
"Josh Duggar, that's not his whole family. His whole family didn't do that. He made a mistake. I don't know about TLC's [decision to] cance their show as a family, l but if that's what they wanted to do, I respect that.
"It is hard to when everyone is talking about you. Sometimes it's best to just run away from the situation. So if they just need time as a family, I think that's great."
"Mistake" might be putting a bit lightly, but we agree with Sadie that sometimes running is best.
For example, Anna Duggar should run away from Josh Duggar and only contact him if he tries to stiff her on child support.
