the best singer ever?............WHEN SHE WAS ALIVE & KICKING!!
Never ever will anyone sing the "national anthem" like Whitney....God bless you bobby Christina..your mommy loved you with all her heart...we all miss her.
There has never been a better rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" than that of Whitney Houston. I mean...EVER. With that in mind, Whitney's recorded version should be played before all the games (Basketball, Football, Baseball, etc). This would also be a great tribute to what she accomplished vocally. We will really miss her great voice. Best, Tamara
I saw her in Hartford, CT I think it was about 1982 or so when she had her first hit song and was just starting to break out as a star. She was beautiful, and hearing her sing in that small venue was an experience Ill never forget. When she sang acapella the audience cried-we were blown away. You knew she would be a huge star even then. Point being addiction doesn't care who you are or what gifts of yours it destroys. She died this week, but the world lost her years ago, she lost her beautiful voice and finally her life. Sad.
its a known fact that she mimed over a tape for the anthem at the SB...it was recorded earlier. So much for artist integrity.Overrated and media overkill over her death period
