Chantal O'Brien was emotionally crushed by Brad Womack on The Bachelor season finale. But looking back, she has no hard feelings and says it was for the best.

As shocked and confused as she was that Brad didn't propose to her then, the fun-loving, 28-year-old Seattle divorcee says she's "in a really good place."

Below are excerpts from an interview Chantal gave to People:

Brad Womack and Chantal O'Brien

On Brad not choosing her: "There I was thinking this is someone I could have a future with and they didn't want to be with me. It broke my heart."

On reliving it on the After the Final Rose special: "It was hard to go back and see those memories. I think it's undeniable the chemistry Brad and I had."

On The Bachelor spoilers that reported, erroneously, that she got engaged to Brad: "I started getting text messages and calls saying 'Congratulations!'"

"It was difficult obviously, because I've just had my heart broken and everyone is congratulating me. At the same time, I tried to be a good sport."

If nothing else, The Bachelor season finale was certainly a memorable one. As is often the case, the After the Final Rose special provided many of the fireworks.

Just minutes after Brad Womack's swoon-worthy proposal to Emily Maynard, viewers learned about his terrible temper - and that they briefly parted ways.

They're back together now, but Brad "couldn't speak for Emily" when Chris asked if they're still engaged. Never a good sign. She's also NOT moving to Texas.

Here's the awkward ATFR interview that aired post-finale:

What do you think? Will Brad and Emily last?

Despite a gut-wrenching rejection Monday night on The Bachelor season finale, things ended up working out for Brad Womack's runner-up, Chantal O'Brien.

She can thank Jeff Razore for that.

As she said on the After the Final Rose special, her Bachelor journey ultimately let her to Jeff, who works at Evergreen Capital Management in Seattle.

We wish her nothing but the best with her new man. Here's a photo of the guy that surfaced online. We'd say Channy's doing well for herself, no?

SWISH, INDEED: Jeff Razore scored big time by snagging Chantal O'Brien.

It has been rumored, and seems very likely, that Chantal O'Brien declined being the next Bachelorette star because of this fledgling, but happy relationship.

Again, it was hard watching Chantal so crushed. We're glad this fell into place.

That honor goes instead to Ashley Hebert. Hopefully Ash can find love too on the new season. Then we'd be three-for-three ... well, if you-know-who lasts.

Speaking of which ... do you think Brad and Emily will make it?

Is reality TV's most famous commitment-phobe ready to get down on one knee? Will he propose to Chantal or Emily? Were The Bachelor spoilers correct?

It's all come down to one final rose tonight, and for the two women remaining, a final date to make their case in the quest to become Mrs. Brad Womack.

How will the saga end? Which amazing woman - Emily Maynard and Chantal O'Brien - will receive a Neil Lane ring and who will depart empty-handed?

THG breaks down The Bachelor season finale in a LIVE +/- recap!

Brad Womack Waits

Come on, ABC. Ditch the "most controversial season in Bachelor history" bit. We get it. You recycled Brad. Other than that? Pretty normal season! Minus 4.

Five minutes in and Brad's crying. Sorry ... bawling. Yikes. Minus 3.

Wait ... Brad is a changed man? Emily and Chantal couldn't be more different? Wild. Missed that the first four times. Also, what is Brad wearing?! Minus 5.

Chantal is bringing it tonight. She's holding nothing back. Plus 9. Saying she'll get married to Brad on the spot? Not a bluff. Talk about laying it on the line.

Oh, passing the mom test. This is going down to the wire! Plus 6.

Is your top on backwards, though, Chantal? Just askin'. Minus 2.

Brad Womack's final rose is set to be doled out on The Bachelor season finale Monday. Reigning Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky knows who she'd give it to.

"I think both girls are great... but in the last two episodes, his connection with Emily [Maynard] has been undeniable," Fedotowsky told Us Weekly.

What makes Brad and Emily such a great fit?

Secrets of The Bachelor Finale

HE'S THE ONE: Roberto was for Ali. Will Brad be for Emily?

"It's been the little things that he's done - like he had that little picnic for her at the beginning outside. He is just so smitten with her," Ali said of "Brad's" courtship.

THG NOTE: Seriously, Al, you were on the show. You can at least give props to host-pimp Chris Harrison, who we all know sets up dates for his employees.

Anyway, Ali says when Brad is with Emily Maynard, the truest sign of love is that "he wants to do anything to sort of reassure her - like telling her he loved her."

"They are both southern and polite, and I just think they'd make a really cute little couple. All along I thought it was going to be those two," she admits.

What do you think? Who should Brad choose on the Bachelor finale?

NOTE: This article really doesn't tell you a whole lot.

The new Us Weekly may well have exclusive details and photos of Brad Womack's final dates in South Africa on The Bachelor, but the juicy details are lacking.

If you want to know if he picks Emily Maynard or Chantal O'Brien, well, The Bachelor spoilers here can probably enlighten you. That's as much as we'll say.

Who do you think Brad ends up proposing to?

Secrets of The Bachelor Finale

Brad's last date with single mom Emily involves a wilderness picnic in Cape Point starting with a helicopter ride. "They ended it with a kiss," an insider says.

With Chantal, she and Brad opted for something more adventurous. We're talking about a whale and shark watch aboard a boat by Danger Point peninsula.

"They held hands," the source observed, scandalously.

When the time came for the native Texan to give out his final rose and propose - and give one of the ladies some bad news - Womack was very nervous.

Still, as evidenced by the season finale preview airing this week, it was a call he had to make. Brad "knew he made the right decision," the insider adds.

THG Asks: What do you think that right decision should be?!

If Emily ever loves me the way she loved her ex-fiance, I'd feel like the luckiest guy on earth. I always said I wanted to find a truly sweet woman to spend my life with. Emily is that woman. That smile, that beauty. I'm so happy every time I'm around her. She makes me want to be a better man. I want Emily to be my wife.

Not exactly your standard open-ended, vague tease, is it?

While The Bachelor spoilers have said one thing, then another as far as who wins Brad Womack's heart Monday night, perhaps the most telling indicator is the above quote, straight from the star himself in the season finale preview below ...

Both Chantal O'Brien and Emily Maynard are great catches, but only one will walk away with the final rose. No, he's not ditching both like he did last time around.

We ask: Who do you think should win The Bachelor?

The traditional two-hour filler episode of The Bachelor provided no huge revelations, but there were some fireworks last night on the Women Tell All special.

The Hot Seat was aptly titled at times. We'll take what we can get.

How didit all  play out when Brad Womack's outcasts reunited for mediation sessions with host-pimp Chris Harrison? Here's THG's trademark +/- recap!

Brad Womack: Bachelor

First, props to the great Chris. This is who you'd want in the room if you were being sued. Not as an attorney, just a debonair, calming, pimping presence. Plus 13.

We don't recognize half of these women and we watch every week. Minus 15.

One of the season's final four, the adorable mortician Shawntel N., did not say a word. Did she not wish to? Is she not interesting enough? Either way, Minus 11.

There will be a Bachelor Pad 2. It will feature Vienna Girardi. Plus 10.

Michelle Money was the unquestioned highlight of the night, using all her camera time to bash the other women, then crying when they turned it around. Wash.

Dramatically trying to catch your breath, Michelle? Acting much? Minus 4.

Chantal O'Brien. Emily Maynard.

The Bachelor star Brad Womack says both "would make incredible wives, incredible mates" and that he labored over who to give his final rose to.

"Both had qualities I was looking for," he said during a taping for the Women Tell All special tomorrow night, with the season finale set for March 14.

Chantal O'Brien is "up for everything, fun ... we hit it off early. There was immediate physical chemistry. But we had a lot of highs and lows."

Brad Womack and Emily Maynard

"When she gets so upset, like she did in Anguilla, it makes me wonder if we could find that rhythm and make it work for the rest of our lives."

As for Emily Maynard? Brad calls her "an incredible mother – [a] really sweet and a caring, sensitive woman that is also quite easy on the eyes."

"She went through a tough situation with the plane crash and becoming a single mom. But she rose to the occasion beautifully. I admire that."

"She makes me a better person when I am around her."

So who's it going to be? The Bachelor spoilers have indicated a finale with these two for months, but the winner has long been in dispute.

One thing's for sure - Brad is not dwelling on either's past.

Soon we will know for sure who Brad Womack chooses. Will it be Chantal, whose chemistry with him is so obvious, or Emily, the fan favorite from Day One?
