As you’ve likely heard by now, Solange Knowles attacked Jay Z last week and the incident was captured on security cam footage that was just released yesterday.
Needless to say, the Knowles-Carter clan is less than pleased to have their dirty laundry aired in public, but instead of putting spin on the fight via carefully worded press releases, they’re simply playing it cool.
Beyonce took Solange to Costa Rica shortly after the incident and she sat courtside with her husband at least night’s Brooklyn Nets-Miami Heat game.
Aside from a cryptic Beyonce tweet about relationships posted the night of the altercation we have no indication that anyone involved was the least bit bothered by the attack.
All of this nonchalance begs the question: does this sort of thing happen often?
Sadly, it may be the case that violent rages aren’t all that uncommon for Solange.
Both she and Beyonce have made comments in the past suggesting that the younger Knowles sister is the feisty one in the family and the way Bey stood by and watched the attack take pace certainly seems to indicate that there was nothing surprising or unexpected about Solange’s behavior.
But why was her rage directed at her brother-in-law, who also happens to be one of the most powerful men in the American music industry?
