Lindsey Vonn put a baby squirrel on the neck of her boyfriend Tiger Woods at the Presidents Cup yesterday, instantly making for the top sports moment of the week:
The story behind this awesome photo?
Tiger and the U.S. team are playing the International Team in Dublin, Oh., at the biannual golf event. His match finished early, so they were watching his teammates.
During a rain delay earlier in the afternoon, U.S. assistant captain Davis Love III befriended the critter, who he nicknamed "Sammy," apparently for good luck.
He began carrying Sammy around the course with him, and showed him to Lindsey, who went gaga over the little fella and playfully put him on Tiger.
Woods, intensely watching the golf action, initially brushed it off, but soon had a change of heart when he got to know the new team mascot a little.
Vonn, before heading to Minnesota on Friday, tweeted to Love:
"Keep the squirrel happy until I get back tomorrow. :)"
The 2013 Presidents Cup features a series of golf matches between the U.S. and an International Team from the rest of the world, except for Europe.
It's pretty close after the first of four days of competition, but as far as entertainment value goes, Lindsey Vonn has already clinched it for the Americans.
