50 Shades of Grey Success Means $5K Bonuses For All Random House Employees
by Snooki Stackhouse at .It's been a very cushy year for the folks at Random House publishing thanks to author E. L. James, who created the insanely popular trilogy, Fifty Shades of Grey.
Maybe you've heard of it?
Due to the massive success of the novels, Random House went above and beyond the standard holiday bonus and is giving each employee an extra $5,000.
Literary critics panned the novel as poorly written and labeled it as "mommy porn." Oh well, guess who's laughing all the way to the bank? Laters, baby.

It was poorly written, but it was very entertaining!!
Chris Hemsworth should play the leading man Christian Grey. He's smokin!!!!
Katherine Kelly Lang should play Mrs Robinson.
I personally think it should be Stephanie Meyer getting the money, since 50 Shades was actually Twilight fanfiction and all Random House and E.L. James did was change the names and very few details. It's nice to know in this country you can steal someone else's fanbase and characters (even with a name change) and make a butt load of money. I'm off to write a Hunger Games fanfic that I hope to one day publish so I can continue the bastardization of modern day publishing.
I think she's been paid enough - I should get something for being forced to watch the first movie, but I still count myself lucky it was just the first one. I wish you luck with your your future bestseller.
Original Hunger Games was called Battle Royale.. lol
For badly-written Twilight fanfiction? Really? And the dumbing down of America is complete. They may be richer, but Random House's taste in literature still sucks.
That was supposed to go to the post above you, sorry!
Um, you can't even compare twilight to this. The plots are completely different and touch on different topics. This is ridiculous.
Err, it was first selfpublished as fanfic, and then the names were changed before publishing as book. This is well known.
Nice to see a big company like Random House share a little of the wealth - Kudo's to them for rewarding all their employees when they are doing well - they must clearly understand a company is only as good as it's employees. What a class act!
