Lil Boosie Faces Drug Smuggling Charges, Extra Time in Prison

Incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie may be incarcerated longer than expected after he was busted attempting to smuggle drugs into his prison cell.

This is the second time in two months this has happened.

The hip-hop artist, real name Torrence Hatch, is currently serving a four-year prison sentence for drug and gun possession and violating parole.

Lil Boosie's legal woes have worsened after he was indicted for conspiring to get hold of codeine syrup at the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola.

He has been charged with one count of criminal conspiracy to take contraband to and from a penal institution, and another of inciting a felony.

He is also due to stand trial next month after pleading not guilty to a first-degree murder charge relating to a 2009 shooting in Louisiana.

Safe to say he will be known as "incarcerated rapper" for awhile.

    boosie a real ass nigga . he already knew it was gone eventually happen . its a cycle that cant be broken wen you put it against the justice system . i cant tell him to keep his head up cause that aint really gone help anything , but i know he gone hold up . i dont know him personally but i feel like i do . hold it down . free boosie .
