Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger will become a great-grandfather in early 2014, according to his daughter.
French-born jewelry designer, socialite and former model Jade Sheena Jezebel Jagger, 42, told The Sunday Times in London that her 21-year-old daughter Assisi Lola Jackson will give birth in a few months.
The soon-to-be grandmother is the daughter of former Nicaraguan supermodel Bianca Jagger – who divorced Mick in 1978.
The aging rocker, who celebrated a milestone 70th birthday in July, remarked upon hearing that his granddaughter was pregnant, “Well done.”
Jade added, “I imagine it’s nice to be a great-granddad, although I’m not sure he likes the idea of getting old, or being called one. I call him Mick. I wouldn’t think of calling him grandpa.”
Mick Jagger has seven children with four women: Karis, 43, Jade, 42, Lizzie, 29, James, 28, Georgia, 21, Gabriel, 15, and Lucas, 14. In addition, the iconic musician has four grandchildren.
His current partner since 2001 is fashion designer L’Wren Scott.
Jon Bon Jovi recently remarked about the longevity of The Rolling Stones. He said, “We continue to make Number One records and fill stadiums. But will we still be doing 150 shows per tour? I just can’t see it. I don’t know how the hell Mick Jagger does it. He runs around the stage as much as I do yet he’s got almost 20 years on me.”
