If you believe the hype surrounds the weekend nuptials of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, then you may have already bought into the suggestion that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality star is another “people’s princess” and her wedding will be the U.S. version of a Royal event.
Members of the paparazzi indicate that a high quality photograph of the bride in her wedding dress could sell for the same price as a 2012 Porsche Boxster… $50,000.
Kardashian has already reached an agreement with People magazine for the exclusive first rights to publish wedding photographs. She will reportedly be paid a figure somewhere between $300,000 and $1 million.
The event will be filmed by E! for a two-episode special, Kim Kardashian Wedding: A Kardashian Event. The show will feature the entire planning process, including Kris Jenner‘s pre-wedding facelift and the fully documented family cake tasting session.
NBC morning co-host Kathie Lee Gifford will be attending the event and has shared a few details. Guests have been asked to wear only black and white … no exceptions. They will all be required to pass through metal detectors, and cell phones and cameras will be held for guests in an effort to guard against unauthorized photos or tweets.
The entire event, at the Sotto II Monte estate in Montecito, will be shrouded from public view, with tents, covered walkways, and privacy screens strategically placed. That said, the paparazzi are a resourceful bunch and will undoubtedly find creative ways to capture pics.
The 10.9 acre Tuscan-style estate with panoramic views of the Santa Ynez Mountains is already on “lock-down” status with wedding preparations in full swing.
Photogs managed to capture candid shots of the wedding of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom in 2009, but the images were grainy at best.
Many websites reporting on the wedding will find a great looking photo of Kim K in a white dress and call it good. Others will settle for nothing less than the real deal. Check out another pic after the jump:
